Published fee schedule
Skool’s payment help documentation lists Hobby at 10% plus $0.30 per transaction. For Pro it lists 2.9% plus $0.30 for transactions up to $899, and 3.9% plus $0.30 for transactions above $900 (check the provider’s documentation for the boundary at $900). At a $49 membership price, the listed Hobby transaction fee is $5.20 and the Pro fee is $1.72. These are per-payment illustrations before platform subscription charges, refunds, tax considerations, or other applicable costs.
Calculate for your business
Multiply the per-payment fee by the number of successful charges, then add your subscription cost. Consider annual versus monthly billing, expected cancellations, and the mix of payment amounts. Do not assume gross sales equal take-home income.

For a hypothetical $30 member payment, Hobby's published 10% plus $0.30 is $3.30; Pro's 2.9% plus $0.30 is $1.17 for a transaction within the standard threshold. The useful question is not whether a platform has the longest feature list, but whether this particular member can reach the promised outcome without unnecessary friction. Create a spreadsheet with price, number of charges, gross sales, percentage charge, fixed charge, platform subscription and net proceeds. Run it for monthly and annual billing separately. Document the result in plain language. If another person cannot follow the process without your intervention, improve the instructions before investing in additional tools or promotion.
